Step up your brunch game with homemade breakfast patties. With just a few simple ingredients, these patties are packed with flavor thanks to Oaktown Spice Shop’s Breakfast Sausage Seasoning. Full of rubbed sage and a subtle kick from chipotle peppers, it pairs perfectly with a touch of sweet maple syrup. Serve with eggs, or make yourself a delicious breakfast sandwich. This recipe works well with ground pork or meat alternative instead of turkey if you prefer.
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, parsley, maple syrup, Breakfast Sausage Seasoning, and salt, mixing well.
Divide the mixture into 8, using your hands to form 8 patties, approximately ½ inch thick.
Agree. This was very heavy on the hot pepper.
There are way too many red pepper flakes in this mix. This mix left everyone with a burning mouth and our little ones couldn’t eat the sausages. Even after removing most of the red pepper using a strainer, the sausages were still too hot. Suggest adjusting the recipe mix.
We live in France and breakfast sausage is not available, so I was very excited to find this spice at Oaktown. My husband and I enjoyed the flavor of this seasoning. It is a bit heavy on the red pepper flakes; I will try 1 Tbs (vs. 2) next time and adjust as needed going forward.
