Directions

1. Heat water to boiling.

2. In a heat safe bowl with a lid, add hot water, cinnamon stick, whole cloves and star anise. Let steep for 10 minutes.

3. Measure dark brown sugar and honey in a bowl and set aside.

4. Strain whole spices out of water and add the water to the sugar and honey. Whisk until dissolved.

5. Add ground ginger, ground cinnamon and cayenne to the mixture and whisk until well incorporated.

6. Add some to Hottie Syrup to your drip coffee, cold brew, or instant coffee when you need a little spice in your life!
